Article I - Name

The name of this organization shall be the South Suburban Water Works Association (SSWWA).

Article II - Purpose

The purpose of this Association shall be to promote the interests of the water works industry in the South Suburban Chicago Metro Area through education, networking, and professional development opportunities for its members.

Article III - Membership

Membership shall be open to individuals working in municipalities, communities, water agencies, engineering firms, and water industry vendors who share our goal of providing total water services to the residents of Illinois.

Article IV - Officers

The officers of SSWWA shall consist of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Officers shall change every year starting in June. The Board of Directors shall consist of the 4 officers and 10 committee chairs.

Article V - Meetings

Regular meetings shall be held monthly, with the exception of April (WATERCON), July, and as otherwise determined by the Board. The Annual Meeting shall be held in June for the purpose of electing new officers.
